My goodness it has been awhile! Guess I just haven’t been in the blogging mood or something…
How are you? I miss “chatting” with everyone!
I had our first sign of spring on Saturday – Little League Sign-Ups! I almost missed them again this year – would have if our cleaning lady didn’t mention signing her son up. I was like “that is today!?!” They never advertise at our school for the city league for some reason – guess we’re too little or something. Anyway, rushed down with my friend Holly and we got our kids signed-up. Christian will be playing T-ball and Ryan will be in the Instructional League which is with a pitching maching I guess. So this spring we’ll be back to running to two separate practices and games again – which I hate, but we made them skip basketball, so I figured I better give in and do little league. It will probably be really nice to get outside again! They start at the end of March practices, and games in May. They will miss 1-2 games due to our vacation schedule – but oh well!
It is just boring winter here. We really haven’t been doing much of anything. Thankfully the kids have been staying fairly healthy minus little colds here and there. No strep or stomache flu that have been going around yet. (knock on wood!)
Annika is slowly growing – she is definitely plumping up! She is a pretty quiet baby, I’m wondering if she’ll be shy. She doesn’t say much, unless she is mad about something, then she lets us know! She has a little cough still – hopefully she’ll be over that soon. She is still small – starting to grow out of her 0-3 month clothes now that she is 3 1/2 months old! I’m planning on putting on the first 3-6 month outfit tomorrow when we go to town.
Tomorrow we’re heading to the mall to pick up her pictures at Sears, hit the Gymboree sale (because heaven knows she needs more clothes – haha), and then Sam’s Club. Then rush back to pick the boys up at school.
Christian is still struggling with his reading and parts of math – he still writes numbers backwards sometimes. I’m struggling with whether I should hold him back next year or not, and if so if I should homeschool him for a year. Otherwise he would have the same teacher for 3 years straight since it is a 1st/2nd grade class. It’s such a hard decision! He’s so emotional too, I’m not sure how he’ll feel about it. I’m sure God will make the decision clear when the time comes. It’s so hard to watch him try so hard and be so frustrated. Tomrrow is the 100th day of school, so he has his 100 matchbox cars all packed up and ready to go. It should be a fun day!
I got our taxes almost completely ready for the accountant today – yea! Hopefully we don’t owe tooooo much! I made more this year, but we also had another baby, so we’ll see!
Well, I’m off to “play” on the internet a bit and then to watch my recorded shows and doze off to a hopefully peaceful slumber if Annika cooperates.
Hope everyone is well!
