Check Up
In between referreeing wrestling matches between the boys, I thought I would try to make a post since it has been awhile.
Annika had her 6 1/2 month check-up today. She is 17lb 13 oz. and 27″ long. No wonder she is starting to get heavy to drag around in her carseat!
We also met with the public school psychologist today to discuss testing for Christian to check for learning disabbilities. They plan to get that done before the end of the school year. Then we can decide where to go from there.
Dane spent the afternoon with his best friend who came down with a fever. (And Annika spent a bit of time over there as well) So… I’ll probably have sick kids in a few days. Thankfully it is just a fever and nothing else. It has been going around school.
Last weekend Thur. – Sat we had a garage sale with a couple of my friends. It was their city wide sale weekend and we did really well – lots of traffic! She made around $650 and I made $330. It was a lot of fun! This Friday I’m going with my Mom’s Bible Study Group to a different town wide sale – To SHOP this time.
We have four new baby kittens that were born in the garage about a week ago when Matt accidentally locked mama in the garage for the night.
Baseball season is soon upon us. Ryan starts practice Thur. and Christian starts May 11th. They will miss a lot of their games due to our vacation.
Speaking of vacation we are starting to gear up for our month long voyage! It should be interesting! The kids were also realizing the other day all the things they will miss because of vacation:
- Half the baseball Season
- Swim Team
- Swim Lessons
- The Children’s Theatre Play
- Vacation Bible School
- The School Year End Program /Picnic
- The Church Golf Outing
- The 4th of July Church Service, Parade, and Party we go to Every Year
- Our garden might be crazy when we get home they say! (or dead…)
And I’m sure there’s more.. BUT… we also will hopefully have lots of FUN on our trip!
Our garden has not been planted yet, but the raspberries and strawberries are looking good. It has been very wet this month, and the forecast calls for more rain… so the farmers haven’t made it to their fields either.
Tonight while I lead the women’s group at church that I am president of, I am up for election for the school board… NICE I am petitioning against myself, and hoping I don’t win. Matt has to go to lead devotions, so I guess he is taking the boys and voting for someone other than me… and I am taking Annika to my meeting.
Easter was good. We had a nice day at church – Annika was so cute in her dress! And then we spent the afternoon with some church members and had a great meal. Matt’s birthday was good as well. We went out to lunch with Dane & Annika, and then he picked out a new BlackBerry Phone as his gift.
I have been busy making meals for others. One friend moved, one friend had a baby, and one sadly had a miscarriage. I enjoy doing that, but am glad to have a break from it this week.
I think that pretty much catches you up. I am off to help with homework and make blueberry pancakes for dinner. Then off to meetings as I said. I hope everyone is well!
