All right, I am exhausted physically and emotionally. Here is what we have been doing the last two days.
He stood on a folding chair and it collapsed. He his a spiral fracture in his right femor. He got a temporary cast yesterday at the ER and then today went in with the specialist for the real thing. They put him under to do it. Now he is imobile for 2-4 weeks.

I feel so bad and sorry for all of you. Hang in there Mommy & Daddy, with kids there is always something! Then when you have a “climber” like Dane…well, good thing he is a good natured fellow. Here’s hoping he will mend real good, real fast. And that Mommy & Daddy can get a few good nights rest before Dane gets too bored with being immoblized!! Love you all, GRAMMA

How does the diaper work? It looks like it is just over the cast, is there a hole there? Sounds messy. lol

Yes, there is a hole in the cast down there for the diaper area. 
So far the cast area has stayed pretty clean, but I imagine by the time we are done it could get funky!
